Bahb conducted a clinic in Portugal( Meia Via, Torres Novas) in 9th and 10th of June. There were approximately 16 participants each day.

Bahb started the clinic by explaining the basic principles of TCE, and giving enormous importance to the centered sound required for high level brass playing. After this explanation Bahb demonstrated the TCE system playing the third movement of the second Brandenburg concerto on the B-flat trumpet. Amazing!!!

One of the most important the things of the clinic was "The TCE language" and "how to speak the TCE language" for this issue Bahb proposed the 5 articulations explained in a very detailed way in his newest book “ The TCE Training Manual l“. This 5 articulations are the tools to make our tongue stronger and the main way to put this system working easily! Thanks to Bahb's positive and clear teaching everybody understood the system right away and it was unbelievable to see the development in the sound of each participant, with a more increased focus, center, brilliancy, core and intonation. It was remarkable that age was not a problem for everybody who wanted to learn TCE, and it was well visible in this clinic, people from 8 years old to 40 years old everybody took easily the basic principles of this method.

In the end of both days of the clinic Bahb presented us with an informal recital, where he played the most difficult pieces of the baroque period (rococo), from Reutter’s 2 concerti to Michael Haydn concerto in D maj. all the pieces were played without effort and in a very musical and artistic way.

From orchestral playing, Big Band lead playing, Bahb certainly demonstrated the versatility of this system. In the end We were all very grateful to Bahb and pleased with the results of the clinic, working to speak better the TCE Language!!!
